For the second time in 18 months, former NFL star quarterback Donovan McNabb has been arrested for DUI in the state of Arizona. The Gilbert Police Department released a statement via Deadspin.com, which revealed McNabb “was impaired by alcohol and collided in a rear-end fashion with another vehicle which was stopped at a red traffic signal” around midnight on June 28.
This is just McNabb’s second known brush with the law. The six-time Pro Bowler was also arrested for drunk driving in Arizona back in January 2014 and spent one day in jail as part of a plea agreement.
Self-described as the most criticized quarterback in NFL history, McNabb is Philly’s all-time leader in career wins, passing yards, passing touchdowns, pass attempts and pass completions.
In 13 NFL seasons in Philadelphia (1999-2009), Washington (2010) and Minnesota (2011), he threw for 37,276 yards with a 59.0 completion rate, 234:117 TD-to-INT ratio and a 98-62 record as a starter.
Since hanging up his cleats, McNabb has served as an analyst for FOX Sports and NFL Network.
