Washington Redskins rookie receiver Jamison Crowder has been accused of domestic violence.

The team said it’s aware of the “off-field situation” in a statement issued to FOX Sports’ Alex Marvez.

“We have been in touch with the NFL office and will continue to follow proper League protocol and assist them in any way we can to gather all of the facts. We will not be making any further comment at this time.”

Someone, allegedly an ex-girlfriend, posted photos to Crowder’s Instagram and Twitter accounts Wednesday night that showed bruises on a woman’s arm as well as a cut lip.

Though the images were deleted, there were some screenshots that were posted on Twitter.

The caption of the post read, in part, “I’ve had things thrown at me, poured on me, I’ve been choked, had a concussion…The list goes on.” As ESPN.com’s John Keim notes, “the individual wrote that because Crowder continued to show that his heart wasn’t with her anymore, she had no reason to protect him.”

Crowder’s agent, Tory Dandy, told Keim that Crowder’s “account was hacked” and he “hasn’t hit anybody.”

Crowder’s Twitter account has been deleted, but he’s still on Instagram.

The quicker-than-fast 5-foot-8, 185-pound slot receiver and return specialist doesn’t have any known previous off-the-field incidents and has been creating buzz during rookie minicamp and OTAs.
