Former Florida State star quarterback Jameis Winston was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, just as everyone expected.
The fun-loving and charismatic quarterback decided to celebrate the momentous occasion and his new fortune with some self-deprecating humor by posing for a picture in a Bucs jersey and hat with a plate of crab legs.
This isn’t the first time that Winston has poked fun at himself over the crab leg incident and we doubt it’ll be the last. As long as he stays out of any serious off-the-field trouble and continues to learn and progress as a quarterback, the Bucs and their fans will probably get a kick out of his goofy antics.
Tampa Bay stills has plenty of needs to address on the second and third day of the draft, but the team finally has a charismatic leader and potential franchise quarterback whose play often resembles Ben Roethlisberger. Winston’s also drawn comparisons to Eli Manning, Joe Flacco and Philip Rivers, though he compares himself to Andrew Luck. We also think he resembles Aaron Rodgers a little bit, strictly in terms of his competitiveness and comical persona.
