Arthur Jones is the new owner of a Corvette. There’s only one problem: he can’t fit in the car.
The Indianapolis Colts’ 6-foot-3, 337-pound defensive end posted a picture to Instagram on Friday of himself standing next to the car, which he apparently plans to return.
Jones is coming off a disappointing, injury-plagued 2014 season in Indianapolis where he amassed just 23 tackles with a sack and a half (1.5) and a forced fumble through nine contests (three starts).
But the former 2010 fifth round pick (No. 157 overall) out of Syracuse showed big things during his last two seasons with the Ravens (2012 and 2013), which compelled the Colts to hand him a five-year, $33 million contract during free agency last spring.
A really solid interior pass rusher and run defender, Jones should bounce back in 2015. He turns 29 early next month, so perhaps he’ll celebrate by treating himself to a nice car he can comfortably sit in.
